Our strict privacy guarantees regarding Artificial Intelligence and API Keys include:

• We Do Not Store Your API Keys on Our Servers: When you connect an API key (such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, Groq, or OpenRouter), it is stored exclusively within your own browser’s private localStorage or sessionStorage. Everyday Used Apps maintains zero server-side databases, caching layers, or proxy servers to record, intercept, or sync your API keys.
• We Do Not Misuse or Hijack Your Key: Your API credentials are used solely and strictly to authenticate the specific requests you explicitly trigger from your active browser tab. We never use your API key for internal tasks, testing, background automated jobs, or other users’ requests.
• No Model Training on Your Private Files or Prompts: We never harvest, aggregate, or submit your prompts, code snippets, resumes, invoices, or uploaded PDFs to train proprietary artificial intelligence models.
• Direct Browser-to-Provider Communication: When an AI action is executed, network calls travel directly from your browser client to the official provider endpoint (e.g., generativelanguage.googleapis.com or your local localhost:11434 runner). No Everyday Used Apps server acts as an intermediary or eavesdropping gateway. You can verify this anytime by opening your browser Developer Tools (F12) > Network tab.
• Air-Gapped Local & Offline AI: When you select local runners (such as Ollama with Google Gemma 2 or Chrome Built-in Gemini Nano), processing executes 100% on your device’s local hardware without transmitting any prompt data over the internet.
• 1-Click User Revocation: You retain complete autonomy over your AI setup. You can pause AI instantly using the global toggle switch or permanently delete your key and reset all configuration with a single click on "Remove Key & Reset".

4. Local Browser Storage & Zero File Retention

Interactive tools (including our PDF editor, JSON formatter, image compressor, and invoice creator) operate directly in your browser's runtime memory:

• No Server File Uploads: Files, PDFs, and images you select for processing are loaded into local browser memory via HTML5 File APIs. They are never transmitted or stored on remote hosting servers.
• Client-Side Persistence: Saved tool drafts or preferences are saved locally on your device via browser localStorage. You can erase this data at any time by clearing your browser cache or using the in-tool reset buttons.
